Paris Hilton Joins Google+ 24 Days after Launch (Twitter after 1,092)


With tabloid favorite Paris Hilton joining Google+ on July 22 -- 24 days after the service launched -- Google+ has a "Paris number" of 24 or a "Paris 24." She tweeted about her new G+ profile on July 25.

So far, she has posted publicly to Google+ only once: ""Hello Google World! So excited to be a part of Google +! What does everyone think so far?"

Reunik Makes Social Photo Books to Improve How People Share Images

WHAT: Create photo books by gathering photos from friends and family in one shared album. Group members can rate and pick the best pictures, and Reunik can guide users by showing them which ones their group liked most. Professional photo artists then retouch the photos and lay out the photo book. The customer signs off on the design and receives the book by mail.

LAUNCHER: CEO Yann Bienvenu has worked for several companies and startups in the telecom sector in France and abroad. He also studied photo sharing in social networks as part of his master's in business administration and sociology.

Google Bans Developer for Using Pseudonym and Developer Stops Work on Chrome Extension


A 16-year-old developer who created a Chrome browser extension for Google+ called Surplus will no longer support the extension because Google suspended his personal Google+ account for using a pseudonym.

Antimatter15 reported his suspension on the Chrome Web Store page for Surplus, which allows people to switch between multiple Google accounts, post or respond from within a popup and receive desktop notifications and use notification sounds.

1. Brand pages: Based on the brouhaha we've seen over Mashable getting their business profile to 100k followers--before being transferred to
+Pete Cashmore for a TOS violation--publishers are desperate to do commerce through Plus. And for good reason, Plus is designed to send traffic to publishers, while Facebook is designed to be the roach motel of traffic (users go in, but they don't come out). Google has to get this done quickly.

G+Me adds the critical features that Google forgot in Google+

We've been waiting for a tool to help throttle all the noisy goodness that Google+ has become, and today it arrived in the form of a Google Chrome extension called G+Me. 

Simply put, these are four critical features that Google should have had in the product from day one:

1. The ability to open and close threads with a carrot (carrots are those little arrows you see in the screen shot).
2. The ability to open and close comment threads with a carrot.
3. Comment update notification on collapsed threads.
4. Browser based notification of Google+ updates.
