Have You Seen This? Google Offers in Action

Google Offers beta-launched in Portland on June 1, but have you seen one yet? We dig the site's light-and-airy layout and appreciate the straightforward copy, which gives you the main points up top and details in "the deal" and "the story" sections.

In addition to Portland, Google Offers is available in New York (midtown, downtown, uptown), San Francisco, and Oakland and the East Bay. Coming soon are 16 cities/locations including Austin, Los Angeles and Washington, DC.

If your city isn't listed, you can sign up for a notification when Google Offers makes the inevitable expansion.

Offers are the typical things you find on daily-deal sites, including restaurants, activities, events and tours (interestingly, no spa or massage offers that we could find).

Google tried to buy Groupon late last year for a reported $6B.
